The Mosaic Student Housing project was privately developed by Darme Holdings to provide approximately 64 beds in 12 fully furnished luxury apartments for students at CSUMB. Woodman Development Company was hired by the project’s general contractor to provide site supervision and construction management services to the project. Mosaic Student Housing is a higher density, 4-story, elevator served, complex with a podium style garage. It is built on a quarter acre site in downtown Marina, CA. It has multiple common areas, courtyards, breezeways, and a roof deck. It required extensive work with concrete retaining walls, structural steel, and site management. It was built on an extremely aggressive 11 month schedule which included approximately 3 months of site work, prior to the commencement of the main structure. Mosaic Student Housing is a signature project for the City of Marina in helping to define its new downtown core.
